Each year India celebrates the adoption of the constitution on 26 January as the Republic Day. In this day India became a totally republican unit. The country finally realized the dream of Mahatma Gandhi and the numerous freedom fighters who, fought for and sacrificed their lives for the Independence of their country. Today, the Republic Day is celebrated with much enthusiasm all over the country and especially in the capital, New Delhi.
However, during Republic Day, Delhi is transformed to a whole other level. It’s kept absolutely spic and span, many areas are decorated for the celebrations, countless cultural events including the parade take place and most importantly it happens during the winters. The golden rays of the sun fight their way through the fog to cast a spectacular glow all over the entire city lending it a really magical quality. India celebrates its Republic Day in colorful and exciting ways. The President unfolds the National flag as soon as the National Anthem is played and also addresses the nation with Republic Day speech. Furthermore, the Republic Day parade also includes lively displays and exhibits India's rich and colorful culture.
All the Indians are proud of their culture, heredity and integrity. He also added that the scientists like Aryabatta, Bhaskara, had contributed so much to the growth of India. Even today, the world speaks about their discoveries. Indians do not like to fight or create problems with other nations. India believes in peace and amicable settlements. The citizens of India should realize this and work towards its cherished goal of unity in diversity.
The patriotic fervor of the people is witnessed not only in the programmes and activities but also in the inspirational Republic Day SMS and Republic Day messages. Our one good step towards the nation today, will lead towards a better and prosperous tomorrow and thus, eliminating all the barriers in country’s development.
